Melbourne, Australia Day 2 & 3

On my second day I went to the Melbourne Observation Deck and Yarra Valley. The Observation Deck on the Eureka Skydeck 88 is the highest point in all of the Southern Hemisphere. The top of the skydeck had an amazing 360 degree, panoramic view of the City. There was also an area that had a see through floor. It was really scary standing out but it made some really cool pictures! The price to get to the observation deck was actually quite cheap and affordable.

After my visit to the Eureka Skydeck I headed to Yarra Valley. Yarra Valley is all grass and hills. It was nice being out in nature, away from all the cars, buildings, and crowds of people. During my time here I walked through the forests and pathways. It was very tiring, but I got a really nice view of all the nature and outdoor scenery. The main reason I went to Yarra Valley was to go on a hot air balloon ride. It was the most terrifying, thrilling, and fun thing I have ever done. It is crazy knowing I was in the air, in a basket, carried by a large balloon filled with air! It was so fun! The view from when I was in the air was astounding. I was able to see the mountains, hills, and even a little bit of the city.

On my thrid day in Australia I decided to try some Australian food. I went to a restaurant called The Clarendon and ordered a main course of kangaroo and a meat pie. The kangaroo was alright but the meat pie was really delicious. It was like a shepard's pie, but better. For dessert I had pavlova, which is a meringue with whipped cream and fruits. That was delicious as well. Since I was in Australia, I thought I had to try the infamous vegemite. So, I headed to a close convenience store near my hotel and bought some. I also bought other Australian snacks like Tim Tams and Fantales. These were both very nice and chocolatey, which I enjoyed. I also tried a Tim Tam Slam, which is when you bite off opposite corners of the cookie and drink a hot beverage from it and quickly slurp it all before it melts. It was so yummy! As for the vegemite, it was just as disgusting as everyone says it to be. It had the most weirdest taste and texture. I will never eat it again!

Melbourne, Australia Day 1

After my fun stop in Monte Carlo, Monaco I went to Melbourne, Australia. I first got a taxi ride from Monte Carlo to the Nice airport, which is where I was going to start my plane flight. My taxi ride cost me about $108 and was about 30 min. My plane ride had two stops and took a total of 26 hr and 10 min. My first stop was in Frankfurt and it was 2 hrs and 50 min long. My second stop was in Doha and it was for 2 hrs and 5 min. The total cost of my flight, including taxes was $1,163. I stayed in a very lovely 5 star hotel called, Crown Metropol Melbourne. Per night I paid $184. I believe the price was great for how fantastic the hotel really was. My room was clean, fresh, and very comfortable. The hotel was very appealing as well. It had a ribbon styled staircase and was decorated with some great colourful paintings. The hotel had multiple restaurants and shops, a spa, and a large pool with an amazing view of Melbourne. I really enjoyed the pool since it was on the 27th floor and had a great view of the sunset and sunrise. The room I was in had really nice and stylish decorations. It looked very modern and up to date. The Crown Metropol Melbourne was a fantastic hotel!

The first thing I did in Melbourne was go to the Federation Square. I stayed here for almost the entire day. I walked around, ate at a few of the restaurants, toured an art gallery, did some shopping, and watched a show. The square really showed Melbourne's diverse culture and art. There were tons of people - locals and tourists. Federation Square also had many restaurants, shops, studios, and galleries. In the square there was a stage and luckily there was a show happening when I was there. The show was great! The ACMI (Austalian Centre For The Moving Image) which is located in Federation Square was absolutely beautiful. The architecture and design of the building looked so futuristic to me. I loved the pattern and colours of the walls. During the night, Federation Square looked so incredible. There were just as many people as there was during the night. All the buildings and lights were lit up, so Federation Square was really bright and colourful.

Monte Carlo, Monaco Day 2

I have always wanted to visit Japan, but I just never had the time or money to go. So when I found out there was a Japanese Garden in Monte Carlo I was beyond happy! The garden looked exactly like Japan. There were cherry blossoms, koi fish, a bridge and a Japanese tea house. It really felt like I was in Japan, and not in Monte Carlo.

After admiring the beauty of the Japanese Garden I went to the Monte Carlo Harbour. The harbor had great views of the mountians and hills, and the yachts and water. It was a great mixture! There were all types of expensive cars around. I have never seen so many pretty and expensive cars in one place! It was almost like I was in a car show. The amount of wealth in one area was incredible. I was really impressed! I really enjoyed my stay in Monte Carlo, Monaco. It is by far one of the most beautiful cities with one of the most beautiful hotels and attractions!

My third day in Monte Carlo was spent entirely in the French Riviera. I first took a cruise

Monte Carlo, Monaco Day 1

After my stay in Paris, France I headed to Monte Carlo, Monaco. To get here I had to take a train since it was much cheaper. The cost of the trip was $124 and it took about 7 hrs. It was a long train ride, but it was comfortable and really worth it, since it was a lot cheaper than taking a plane. This was my first train ride and it went really well. The hotel I stayed in was called Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. It was a bit pricy, but it was genuinely one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in. The hotel was simply amazing! Per night I paid $307, but I was okay with paying that much since I saved quite a lot of money by taking a train to Monte Carlo. The hotel/resort had so many amenities. There was an arcade, barber shop, casino, night club, arcade, spa and so many other things I have never seen in other hotels. My favourite part of the hotel was definitely the pools. There was both an indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool was beautiful - It felt like I was at the beach! The hotel's outdoor pool also had a sand bottom, which made it feel like I was in the beach even more! Monte-Carlo Bay hotel offered a free breakfast of your choice as well. I really loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone!

The first tourist attraction I visited was Monaco Cathedral. The cathedral is made of white stones and is decorated with beautiful stain glassed windows. I came early enough to go to mass and here the choir sing. The church, the singing, and the windows were all so beautiful.

After mass, I headed to Larvotto Beach. The beach was quite small and crowded but it was still a fantastic time! The weather was splendid and the water was great.

Paris, France day 2 & 3

Since I was in France, going to the Eiffel Tower was a must. So that is exactly what I did on my second day here. The tower was magnificent! I was so happy to finally see it in person. There were so many people near and in the tower! I took a tour of the tower that brought me to the top level of it. The view from the top of the Eiffel Tower was really incredible. It helped me see how pretty Paris and France truly are. Also, the tour guide I was with was very friendly and shared some historic facts and stories about Paris and France.

The next thing I did on my second day was visit the famous Arc de Triomphe. The monument was huge, standing at 164 ft high! I really loved all the detail on the monuments and structures on it. I also enjoyed the tomb of the unknown soldier. I thought that was really nice. I was also able to go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe. I had to climb 40 stairs just to get there. It was difficult and tiring, but so worth it! The view from the top was great. All the people around the monument looked like tiny, little ants.

The last thing I did in Paris France was go to one of the best amusement parks, Disneyland Paris! I spent my entire day, morning to night in the amusement park. I love this Disneyland just as much as the Disneyworld in Florida! They were almost the same, but there were a couple rides Disneyland Paris had and did not have that other Disneyworlds did/did not have. Just like every other Disney amusement park, there was a huge castle in front of the entrance. My trip to Disneyland Paris was really fun and adventurous.
